The following tools have been developed by a group of Grade 7 and 8 teachers in the Spring 2022 to assess learners’ understanding of critical Grade 7 content and competencies. The tools are to be used as a formative assessment to inform instruction at the beginning of each new area of focus in Grade 8.

The collaborative activity is meant to be done for 15-20 minutes prior to the individual assessments to activate and consolidate prior learning.
